With the aim of promoting and developing international collaboration activities in areas according to the functions and tasks of the hospital, as well as coordinating and uniformly managing foreign affairs activities at Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital, on the morning of November 1, 2023, the hospital organized a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the International Cooperation Unit under the General Planning Department. Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Chinh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Hospital, presided at the conference.
In her speech at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Chinh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Hospital, expressed the desire that the establishment of the International Cooperation Unit would serve as a foundation for the hospital to integrate more deeply and enhance its collaboration locally and globally. The goal is to transform Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital into a leading facility in healthcare, training, scientific research, as well as a pioneer in technology transfer in the Red River Delta region, which is a place that healhcare professionals can dedicate themselves and showcase their abilities, while also promoting international cooperation activities and elevating them to a new level that commensurates with the hospital’s position and potential.
Recently, the hospital has been the main practice facility of students and learners from Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Thai Binh Medical College, including numerous regular students from countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Mozambique, and some short-term exchange students from other nations. Many staff members have participated in workshops, seminars, and webinars in various countries worldwide. In 2022, Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital welcomed a delegation from the Myong-ji Hospital, South Korea, for a visit. Additionally, in March 2023, the hospital also visited Myong-ji Hospital in South Korea, achieving agreements on areas of collaboration for the future.
The creation of the International Cooperation Unit is a critical and fundamental objective for the hospital’s board of directors.
